How to Care for a Stovetop Grill

Built-in stovetop grills bring the barbeque indoors. Whether it’s rain or shine, having an indoor grill allows you to have grilled vegetables and steaks—without having to bother with propane, wood or charcoal. Some manufacturers also include a flat griddle, which can be swapped for the grill when making pancakes of grilled cheese sandwiches.
While the convenience of an indoor grill is obvious, there are a few downsides. Built-in stovetop grills can be expensive compared to standard stovetop grills. And you need a strong kitchen range hood, exhaust fan or downdraft fan to remove heat, smoke, odor and moisture while grilling, which can add to the price tag. For many grill lovers, the investment is worth it. Beware, the grill can become a greasy mess in no time. Use these tips each time you use your grill to remove cooked on food and grease.

When the grill cools, remove the grate any removable pans and place in the sink. Rinse with hot water.
If the grill surface is very greasy, spray vinegar on the surface and let stand for 30 minutes.
Using a wet, soapy grill brush, scrub the grill in an up-and-down direction. Be warned, if the food is really caked on, you’ll need to put some elbow grease behind the scrubbing.
Rinse with warm water and place on a clean, dry paper towel, allowing it to air dry.
Meanwhile, remove any removable grill pans and clean using hot soapy water. Rinse and dry with a kitchen towel.
Use a clean damp cloth or paper towel to scoop up any flakes or debris on the stove top and under where the grill normally sits.
Drizzle dish soap onto a wet sponge, and using the scrubber side, remove any crusted on food, then wipe away the loosened bits with the sponge’s soft side.
Remove the collection jar, which may have caught some of the scrubbing debris and clean in the sink with hot soapy water or run through the dishwasher.
To polish, use a paper towel and vinegar over all the surfaces before reinstalling.
To clean a flat griddle:

While the griddle is still hot, use a flat-edged spatula to scrape the surface, removing grease and food.
Wipe the griddle with a dry coarse cloth to remove any debris, before moving to the sink.
Wash with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
NOTE: Do not spray the griddle with cold water, which could crack or warp the cooking surface.

When the griddle cools, rub the surface with a thin coat of vegetable oil.

Kitchen Carts – An Important Part Of Kitchen Appliance Packages

Kitchen carts with a wide variety of designs are incredibly useful. You can use them for storing utensils or products, and as a mobile workstation. If your kitchen space is small, you can make it look larger with a kitchen cart. Good models of this type of kitchen furniture are made of wood and metal and have either shelves or drawers in which to fit additional items or products. Of course, the cart has wheels and a suitable handle for easy movement. The upper surface is strong enough to use as a utility table.
